Experience

Mrinal began her career in nutrition as an in-patient dietician at a leading multi-speciality hospital in Pune, Maharashtra. After completing a post-graduation in dietetics, she pursued Renal clinical nutrition as her chosen field of speciality. She is a co-author of Nutritional Secrets: Diet for Early stages, Dialysis and Post-Transplant and co-writer and editor of Nutritional Secrets: Recipes for Early stages, Dialysis and Post-Transplant. She also has a publication in her name in the Indian Journal of Nephrology. She also has two years of experience working in maternity and childcare units, guiding new moms to plan their post-partum nutrition. Mrinal has worked as a wellness consultant with reputed MNCs to create awareness among their employees on the importance of healthy eating and making the necessary lifestyle modifications. She trained the F&B departments in corporate houses in healthy and sustainable cooking practices. She educated them about the need to standardise the portion size and plan the monthly menu based on balanced meals and seasonal surplus as per the recommended dietary allowance.

Education

After graduating in food technology from Kolhapur University, Mrinal completed her Master’s from the School of Health Sciences, specialising in dietetics, in 2008. Mrinal is a certified diabetic educator under International Diabetic Educator Program recognised by the International Diabetic Federation (IDF). She is also a certified nutrigenomic counsellor.
